July 27, 2005 Hello, Hope everyone is having a great summer, sure is hot here in Kentucky this year.
We were spoiled last year and didn't hit 90 all summer, but we've made up for it this year. We had a great trip to
Myrtle Beach minus Weston's ear infection and Grace puking all the way home. It sure was a wild time with all
those babies and then Grace aka "the entertainer", she feels like she must get right up in their faces and yell as obnoxiously
as possible to make them smile and laugh. Despite annoying everyone else the babies just love her and think she's
funny. I think Grace is Weston's favorite person, she could just stand there and he'll smile at her. Weston
and I have ear infections we can't seem to get rid of, we are both on our second doses of antibiotics. Hopefully
this week we'll get rid of them, so we can all get some sleep. Grace will be starting first grade on her birthday
August 15th next month, hard to believe. Weston is doing great he's a big baby just like grace was, he's not that chubby,
just really big like a football player. He weighs 20 pounds, and you can tell because the muscle in my left arm is
much larger than in the right, all you mom's with babies know what I'm talking about. Mom is up in Baltimore helping
Meghan and Scott and the rest of the family move into their new house today, I feel bad for them because I know it's
so hot, it must be miserable. Ryan and Beth are getting ready for their wedding, she had a shower in Cincinnati
that me and the kids went to on Sunday. Ryan didn't attend, but they got a lot of really nice things. Beth
looks great she keeps losing more and more weight on her weight watchers. I was a bad influence at the beach with
all the friendly's reeses pieces sunday's we ate, she said she gained 7 pounds that week! We can't help it we don't have
a friendly's in Kentucky or Indiana, so when we get near one, we pig out. It's that yummy peanut butter sauce they
have. Grace would order plain chocolate on a cone every time we went, I was beginning to wonder if
that child was related to me. We are hopefully going to make it to Disney world this fall, and visit Grandpa and
Joann, John's mom, Stepdad, and brothers, and Grace's Godfather all in one week. We happen to know a lot of people
who live in florida. John's sister lives there to, but she will be to far away from orlando so we won't be visiting
her this trip. I'm really enjoying working part time and spending time with the kids, its great. Well
speaking of work better get back to it. We'd love to hear from everyone who never writes in with updates, shame on
you!!! Katie

Hi everyone,
Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend, we actually stayed at home this year and John got a lot of jobs
done around the house. I worked on the inside of the house, my allergies are horrible for the next few weeks, my eyes
swell, and itch it's horrible! Then Grace has sun poisening so she also has to stay in for a while until the rash goes
away.
Grace graduated kindergarden last week, she is now a first grader and very proud of it. She is
going with Weston to the babysitter this summer and is enjoying it very much so far (3days). She plays with Carroll's
(our babysitter) grandaughter who is six. Weston is doing good, he's teething so he runs a fever every few days, its
strange. Grace didn't do that when she was a baby. He is a joy to have around, he'll keep you smiling, even at
4:00 in the morning!
Talk to everyone soon! Have a great summer.
Oh and I had something great happen to me this week, I won $500 off the radio! I thought it was
a joke when they called me and told me. I had to answer a trivia question and e-mail in a response, and I won!
I did it one morning when my boss was late to work!

Hello everyone,
Hopefully everyone is enjoying beautiful weather like we've had this week. Spring and I have a love/hate
relationship. I love the flowers and warm weather, but my allergies are so horrible it's miserable. If I hadn't
been pregnant I could have upped my dosage and built up a tollerance with my allergy shots. Since about age 20, I've
developed horrible allergies, and I started getting shots two years ago. There's always next year!
Grace is on spring break this week, so she is enjoying her time at the babysitters with Weston. Caroll
our babysitter has a six year old grandaughter who stays with her when school is out and her and grace have become good friends,
and Grace is having a great time at the babysitter. Weston also seems to enjoy himself, he is getting so huge!
He weighs 13 pounds already and he's not even three months old. He is a very good natured happy baby. He talks
to you now and sounds like he says, "I'm good" and ahhhh. He's very cute, he smiles really big when we call him the
"Rooter Tooter", thats because he toots all the time, just like his sister.
Grace is also looking very old now, I can't even pick her up anymore, she's grown up so much since she started
kindergarden, it makes me sad. She's like a lot of children, she has a awesome playground in the backyard and a million
toys, but she still complains she's bored and wants someone to play with her. Some of the nieghborhood kids come over
sometimes, the ones who let their kids run all over the nieghborhood and have no idea where they are, or who we are and their
kids are in our house. I feel badly for them, and then I feel bad for Grace because she' s not allowed outside without
me watching, but thats the way it should be. I can't believe how many parents don't seem to care about what their kids
are doing, or where they are. They don't know when to go home, they can't even tell time, it's a sad thing, I don't
know if it happens everywhere or just here.
Grace also just started riding the bus, which she loves and saves us some gas money. I'm working everyday
from eight until two, and then I go pick up Weston and come home and meet Grace at the bus stop. Work is going well,
my boss gave me a hard time and tried to cut my hours when I first went back, and of course now she begs me to stay later.
I don't know what her problem was, but things are going well now, so thats good.
John is very busy with work, and he just started doing tree work again, now that the weather is nicer.
He shouldn't be doing it, he has a slipped disk and a bulging disk in his back. He is supposed to be going to physical
therapy, but hasn' t done that either. Hopefully he'll smarten up and take care of himself better. He loves Weston
to death, and Weston loves him, he gives him more smiles than me. He's out tonight getting a new tire for his trailor
it had six nails in it!
The family is coming in at the end of the month for Weston's baptism. The Simonsen's are coming, and
so are mom and dad. Ryan and Beth will probably come, but we are not for sure yet. My best friend Sheri from Chicago
is going to be his godmother and John's friend shawn is going to be the godfather.
John and I have multiple weddings this summer, both friends from college. My roomate Lisa is getting
married and I'm in her wedding in June and then the week before John and Grace are in his friend John's wedding in Michigan.
That will be a long drive, hopefully it will go well. Then we have the big family wedding in September. Me and
the kids will be going to Myrtle Beach in July for the family vacation. John has his busiest time at work over the fourth
of July so he won't be able to make it. Well thats about it here, hope to hear from everyone on the website, stay in
touch.
Katie
We're so glad Kallie is back, I guess all those prayers really helped. Mom, its funny you should mention about writing
a book about Kallie's adventures, I told John that I finally had a plot for a children's story. I've been wanting to
write a children's book and illustrate it, and that seemed like the perfect storyline (we'll see if that ever hapens, its
on the list with the 500 other things I want to do)
We hope Kallie is recovering from her scratched eye, and hurt feet, and resting comfortably back home with her new brothers
(I bet they missed her!)

Bobbie,
Mom said you might not continue the website because people have seemed to lost interest, thats sad, I just
want you know how much I appreciate all the hard work and TIME you've put into it, I know how much time it can take.
I've loved having it and wish you would continue, but I understand that people are not writing in (including myself), but
I promise if you do decide to continue, that I will faithfully write in and send pictures.
I just would like the websites to start working again, I',m worried I'm going to lose mine for good, I'm not
sure how long this changing process is supposed to take, and you don't recieve any type of confirmation, and if you e-mail
i-village they don't respond. I imagine they have been bombarded with questions, and probably can't keep up. Let
me know if you hear anything from Marianne, she seems to know whats going on with i-village. Is she planning on keeping
her family website up?
On to another topic, its sad, but good to hear about Nanny's house, it probably will be nice for you kids to
not have to worry about it any more. I imagine the next trip up there will be extremely difficult. I would have
liked to seen the house one more time, lots of memories there, but it would be a sad time so its probably better not to.
I went back to work this week, and things seemed ok, I don't know if I told you or mom, but my boss had been
giving me a hard time about my hours when I was on materinity leave. The problem was she cut my hours to 20 instead
of 30, which would be great but I really need the income. Sure enough on Thursday she comes to me and says, "Do you
think you can work a little extra next week?" I was glad but very irritated, she has no husband or family and never
has been married, she doesn't realize how difficult it is to arrange childcare, luckily my sitter for weston is wonderful,
and very flexible. I had an orginal arrangement with her to work from 730 to 145, and thats what I had arranged with
the sitter as well. It will all work out, I hope. Well Weston is beckoning, talk to you soon!
